Roy Hodgson Leave Crystal Palace

Roy Hodgson, the 76-year old manager of Crystal Palace football club that participates in the English Premier League has stepped down from his role and asked the club to proceed with their plans to hire a new manager.
Roy fell ill last week amidst rumours that the club was set to sack him following a series of poor results in the league’s 2023/24 season.

It is not clear what caused the latest health problems for the manager, but he was said to be responding well to treatment.

Roy, having stepped down from the same role in 2021, was re-appointed in the middle of the 2022/2023 season following the sacking Patrick Vieira who too had seen the team post a series of poor results that saw them drift closer to the relegation zone.

It now remains to be seen who will take over from Roy as new Crystal Palace manager.

We wish Roy well.
