Politicians usually mobilise their supporters during campaigns and on voting day in a massive way. But they don’t ‘demobilise’ them after the event.
I think that is why social media rumour mills are usually at their busiest ever, just before and just after announcement of election results. Supporters are usually at their frenzied-best, because they still feel ‘mobilised’.
Politicians, please can you note to always be ‘demobilising’ your followers soon after the day of voting day?
