VAR usually has raw video footage which they can replay over and over again before making a decision, yet, in some cases, they still make wrong decisions. Nothing best illustrates this than this weekend’s happenings in the one of the major football leagues in the world.
It’s hard to tell why they would opt to ignore data that are readily available to them and that should help them to make accurate decisions.
They simply have not been able to learn from their mistakes.
What more do they want? An aggrieved party may ask.
Anyway, don’t be surprised if VAR makes the wrong decision (depending on which team you’re supporting) tomorrow and the days to come.
