Use of Fire Extinguishers

1. Don’t use a fire extinguisher if you lack training on how to use it.
2.Don’t use a fire extinguisher unless you are sure that it is the type meant for the type of cause of fire (there are many causes of fire, each with its own type of fire extinguisher).
3.A fire extinguisher is only effective to put out small fires.
4.Before you start fighting a fire, ensure you have identified a clear escape route, and that the fire is not between you and that escape route.
